Premier Electrical Contractors Inc.: Getting the Name of a Local Electrician Out There Online

Premier Electrical Contractors wasn't starting from zero. Michael Livia had already spent 32 years building a name for himself in Staten Island, backed by certifications like Home Depot Pro and Lowes Certified, and a partnership with EV charger installer Charging Home Solutions. But almost all of that trust lived on other people's platforms. PECI itself didn't have a real presence of its own online, just a single-page site with scattered information and no clear way to see what they actually offered.
Client Background
Premier Electrical Contractors Inc. is a Staten Island local electrical company specializing in EV charger installs, house rewiring, electrical inspections, and panel upgrades. Over 32 years in business, PECI has built up deep knowledge of the electrical issues that come with Staten Island homes specifically.
Premier Electrical Contractors is a well-known name to those who already know it. Michael Livia has owned the business for over 32 years, relying on friends, family, and repeat customers, with a small Google PPC budget on the side.

Challenges
Massive competition
PECI is based in New York City, one of the most competitive markets in the country, electrical work included. Premier primarily works in Staten Island, so that's where we focused, targeting location-based keywords to build local trust rather than trying to compete citywide.
GBP gaps
For the most part, their Google Business Profile was already filled out. They had services listed, photos, and were actively replying to reviews, but they were light on photos of real completed jobs. We've been encouraging the PECI team to photograph work as it's finished so we can keep adding to the profile.
A single-page website
With only one page, PECI was going to struggle to compete in a market where most other electricians have 30-plus pages of content working for them.
Solutions
GMB (Google Business Profile) Strategies
We filled out the profile fully and added secondary categories tied to their actual services. We also started posting weekly on the updates feed, both to show customers what PECI has been working on and to signal to Google that the profile is active and maintained.

Local SEO Tactics
We expanded the website well past its original single page, building out content and new pages targeting the high-value keywords tied to the jobs PECI wanted more of, and making it simple for homeowners to email, call, or fill out a contact form depending on what they needed.
Alongside that, we ran a citation and NAP cleanup. After 32 years in business, PECI had years of old directory listings floating around with inconsistent name, address, and phone info. We went through and corrected what we could, and added new directories to build stronger, consistent NAP signals across the web.
Results
Real Standing in One of the Toughest Markets in the Country
Against 73 tracked competitors in the Staten Island electrician market, PECI now holds an average ranking of 4.63 (2nd place), a 28.99% top-3 share, and a 34.02% market share for "electrician" across a 13x13 grid spanning over 40 square kilometers.
A Website That Actually Pulls Traffic Now
The site that used to be a single page is now generating real search traffic across multiple pages, including dedicated location and service pages like electrician-staten-island-ny, rather than relying on one thin homepage to do all the work.
A Reputation Still Being Actively Built
PECI holds a 5.0-star rating across 16 Google reviews, with the team now actively photographing completed jobs to keep the profile growing instead of relying on word of mouth alone.

Conclusion
Premier Electrical Contractors spent 32 years earning a reputation the old-fashioned way: friends, family, repeat customers, and word of mouth. What they didn't have was a place online that actually reflected that reputation. Building out the GBP, expanding the website past a single page, and cleaning up decades of scattered citations gave PECI a real presence to match the trust Michael had already built offline.
For a business with decades of goodwill and almost none of it visible online, this is what catching the digital side up to the real-world reputation looks like.
